Immediate Management

Why?

Internal surveys reveal that staff often expect more of their team leaders. There is too little personal contact and support. The accessibility of team leaders is limited in spite of all the follow-up systems via Blackberry smartphones and e-mails that we have at our disposal. Your team members need you and expect your help and support. How can you learn to provide timely support in your leadership role?

What you will learn in this module.

We will look into the origins of Immediate Management and try to find explanations for this new trend.
By way of preparation for the session, a personal 360° survey will be made for all participants the results of which will be analysed in the module.
During the session you will learn to make effective use of the ABC principle.
How to create clarity about visions, priorities and expectations: Communication management for team leaders (setting out Actions).
Anything that is important should be followed up: How to organise yourself in circumstances where you barely have any time. We will look into follow-up systems and above all how you carry out supportive discussions around follow-up and assistance (B). Contact is important today more than ever before: we will rediscover the MBWA principle.

Speedy, coherent correction (C), a capacity to adapt and appreciation are of crucial importance in Immediate Management. How to give feedback to ensure the maximum capacity of the other person to hear, to ensure that the message is correctly understood and that there is room for a change in behaviour.
The module ends with ideas and tips about implementing Immediate Management techniques in your own work situation.
